| 有些英文錯誤的用法，因為在每天傳來傳去的 Email 當中，以訛傳訛，太常看見，久而久之就以為是對的了。來看幾個常見的例子： 1. 沒有 ”Please be noted” 這種說法 請注意 （X）Please be noted…. （Ｏ）Please note…. 這句話常常出現在Email一開頭，請對方注意接下來的訊息。Note這個字可以當「注意」、「留意」，用主動即可： （Ｏ）Please note that this bill must be paid within 10 days. （請注意本帳單必須在十天內付款。） 以 Please 開頭的句子是祈使句，主詞 You 省略了，Please note 是請你 注意，說「請被注意」不通。如果是 advise 就可以用主動也可以用被動，意思不同： 2. Please advise 和 Please be advised 意思不同 （Ｏ）Please advise….（請惠賜卓見） （Ｏ）Please be advised….（謹通知台端） 這兩種用法文法都對，但都屬於比較老派、正式用法： Please advise us of any change in your plan. 計劃如有變更，請惠賜意見。 不想文縐縐 Please advise，可以直說 ”Let us know/ Please tell us”。 Please be advised we received your payment on Nov. 7. 通知你我們十一月七日收到您的款項了。 這個句子雖然對，更簡潔、更有人味，句子把 Please be advised 刪掉更好： We received your payment on Nov. 7. 句子 10 個字變成 7 個字，句子精簡了，但意思不變。 3. Please be reported 不是「請知悉」而是「你被告發」 （X）Please be reported… （O）Please be informed… 很多想 Report 是報告，我向你報告，你被報告，但 Please be reported 這樣用法是不對，先來看一個例句： You were reported to the police for speeding. 你超速被人檢舉。 Report 除了報告之外，也有告發、檢舉的意思。 Please be reported 是個祈使句，主詞是 you，也就是 You are reported，變成「你被告發某件事」而不是「我要向你報告 」 。收到 email 的人應該會啼笑皆非。 可以改成 （O）Please be informed that the meeting will be rescheduled to 10:00 am Wednesday. 或不囉唆 （O）The meeting will be rescheduled to 10:00 am Wednesday. 會議改在周三上午十點進行。 |
